These towns and communities capture Minnesota’s friendly atmosphere and natural beauty.

Green Lake: Just 45 minutes northeast of Minneapolis, Green Lake is worlds away from the big city. Located in the community of Spicer, Green Lake is the largest lake in the Willmar Lakes area. Living here gives you easy access to all kinds of water recreation, from boating and fishing to kayaking and tubing.

Hackensack: A lesser-known gem, Hackensack is nestled in the heart of lake country within a short drive of Chippewa National Forest. The area is perfect for those looking for solitude and direct access to outdoor activities like fishing, boating, and wildlife watching. With a quaint downtown and a friendly community, it offers a peaceful retreat while still being accessible to larger cities.

Osakis: The quaint town of Osakis lies at the gateway between the central plains and the northern forests of Minnesota. Lake Osakis is a favorite for fishing, boating, and water sports and is known for its abundant walleye, bass, and northern pike. You’ll have easy access to the Central Lakes Trail, which runs directly through the town and offers miles of well-maintained paths for biking, walking, and snowmobiling in the winter.

Cannon Falls: Situated along the banks of the Cannon River, this picturesque community encapsulates the splendor of southeastern Minnesota. The town’s natural beauty is highlighted by the Cannon Valley Trail, a 20-mile path for biking, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Cannon Falls’ scenic setting and a strong sense of community are a draw for visitors and residents alike.
